Northern Territory Police have arrested a woman in relation to an aggravated assault that occurred in Stuart Park yesterday evening.
Around 6:45pm, Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report that a male had allegedly been assaulted with an edged weapon in the vicinity of a fast-food restaurant along the Stuart Highway.
Police and St John Ambulance attended and located the 47-year-old male victim, with a 43-year-old woman known to him, with multiple stab wounds to his chest, thigh, and arm.
Members provided emergency First Aid and prepared him to be conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital. While he was being loaded into the ambulance, he identified the woman in his company as the alleged offender.
The victim was conveyed to hospital in a critical but stable condition.
The 43-year-old woman was arrested and remains in police custody with investigations ongoing.
