Northern Territory Police are calling for information after an aggravated assault that occurred in Moulden yesterday afternoon.

Around 4:50pm, police received reports that a 53-year-old man had been allegedly assaulted with an edged weapon during an altercation with another man on Strawbridge Crescent.

St John Ambulance transported the victim to Royal Darwin Hospital to received treatment for his injuries.

Both men are believed to be known to each other.

A crime scene was established and detectives from Serious Crime are investigating.
