Call for information – Aggravated robbery – Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to an aggravated robbery that occurred on Friday evening.

Around 11.15pm on Friday 4 October, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report of an aggravated robbery that took place on Kempe Street, The Gap.

A 27-year-old female had been riding her electric scooter when she was approached by two male youths. The youths allegedly blocked her path, demanding she hand over her scooter, before one of the offenders struck her on her wrist and physically pulled the scooter from her grasp.

Both youths fled the scene on the scooter travelling south along Gap Road.

The victim did not suffer any injuries from the incident.

Police subsequently arrested two male youths, both aged 13, in the early hours of Saturday morning in relation to a separate incident and are working to establish any link between the arrest and the robbery.

The scooter, a black Segway-Ninebot Electric KickScooter, remains outstanding. Its last known location was on Hartley Street in the early hours of Saturday morning.
