Northern Territory Police have arrested a man in relation to the suspicious death of a woman in Malak overnight.

Around 12:10am, police received reports that a 43-year-old woman was deceased at a residence on Magdelene Court, Malak.  

Resuscitation attempts were made, however, the woman was declared deceased shortly after emergency service arrival. 

Detectives from Crime, along with general duties officers deployed to the area and a crime scene was declared.

A 57-year-old man, known to the victim, was arrested a short time later at a separate location in Malak.

He remains in police custody as investigations continue.
