Call for information – Ram raid – Stuart Highway

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to a ram raid that occurred on Saturday on the Stuart Highway.

Around 9.30pm, police received reports of a motor vehicle allegedly stolen from a business in Alice Springs.

The white Toyota Land Cruiser was subsequently allegedly used in a ram raid that caused significant damage at a business on the corner of the Stuart Highway and Lasseter Highway. During the ram raid an unknown amount of alcohol was stolen.

The offending vehicle was later identified in Alice Springs and brought to a stop via the deployment of tyre deflation devices by Strike Force Viper and the Dog Operations Unit.

One youth and one adult were arrested shortly after fleeing from the vehicle while the vehicle was still actively being pursued.

An additional offender, a 33-year-old male, was arrested once the vehicle was brought to a stop at the scene.
