UPDATE: Charges - Domestic violence - Tennant Creek

Northern Territory Police have arrested a man in connection with a serious domestic violence incident in Tennant Creek last week.

Detectives from the Tennant Creek Criminal Investigations Unit launched an investigation, executing two search warrants in coordination with Tennant Creek general duties officers. The man, aged 29, was later apprehended and charged with unlawfully causing serious harm and being armed with an offensive weapon.

He has been remanded to appear before Tennant Creek Local Court on 13 June 2024.

Constable First Class Caleb Van Duinen said, “This was a particularly violent assault that has left the victim with severe injuries. Such violence has no place in our community, and police will continue to work tirelessly to hold domestic violence offenders accountable.”
