Northern Territory Police have arrested 2 youths after a burglary occurred in Marrara overnight.

Around 11:15pm, police received reports of a group of 10 youths unlawfully entering the rear yard of a shopping centre on McMillans Road. The youths allegedly stole a quantity of non-alcoholic beverages before fleeing the scene on foot.

A short time later, police located and arrested 2 male youths aged 14 and 16 who admitted to also entering a fast food restaurant in the same shopping complex through an already broken window.

Both youths were transferred into the hands of a responsible adult and will be dealt with under the Youth Justice Act 2005.

Investigations are ongoing.
