Northern Territory Police have arrested a 43-year-old man in relation to the death of a woman in Coconut Grove earlier today.

Around 12.30pm, police received reports of an unresponsive woman at a residence in Coconut Grove. Police and St John Ambulance attended, and the 36-year-old woman was declared deceased at the scene.

A 43-year-old man presented himself to police at the residence and was arrested. He remains in custody.

The two parties are believed to be known to one another.

A crime scene has been declared and investigations are ongoing.
