Charges - Criminal offences - Alice Springs

NT police have charged three youths in relation to a number of property offences in Alice Springs in the past two days.

At around 5.30pm on 16 August 2021, police sighted two youths on CCTV unlawfully entering a residential premises in Gillen where they allegedly stole a quantity of cash.

Strike Force Viper investigators arrested a 15-year-old male yesterday and charged him with:

  • 1x Unlawful entry
  • 1x Property damage
  • 1x Stealing

He has been bailed and will appear in court tomorrow.

A 16-year-old male has been arrested this morning in relation to the same unlawful entry. Strike Force Viper investigators have charged him with:

  • 1x Unlawful entry
  • 1x Property damage
  • 1x Stealing

He will appear in court today.  

In a separate incident on the 17 August, a report was received of an unlawful entry where the alleged offender stole a car from the location.

A 14-year-old male was arrested yesterday and has been charged by Strike Force Viper investigators with:

  • 1x Unlawful use of a motor vehicle

He was remanded and will appear in court today.
