Call for witnesses - Aggravated assault - Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses to an aggravated assault incident in Alice Springs on Saturday night.

Around 9pm two staff members were approached by three youth out the front of a licensed premises on Todd Street.

CCTV shows one youth approaching a female staff member before grabbing her by the hair, one youth threaten staff with a scooter and another youth throwing a bottle at the male staff member.

The trio fled the scene shortly after. As a result of the incident the man suffered bruising to his ribs and a laceration to his head.

Strike Force Viper have carriage of the investigation and are calling for witnesses to this incident to contact them.

Anyone who has information which may assist with investigations, including motorists with dash cam footage from the area at the time of the incident, are asked to contact 131 444 or report it anonymously via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
