Northern Territory Police have charged a 13-year-old male in relation to an unlawful entry in Alice Springs yesterday.

At around 8pm, a security guard was patrolling a commercial building when he interrupted four male youths, who were allegedly rummaging through work stations before they attempted to flee the scene.

The security guard detained one of the youths until Police arrived.

The 13-year-old was charged with:

• unlawful entry
• possess house breaking implement
• stealing

He was remanded in custody and will appear in the local court today.

Strike Force Viper detectives will continue to investigate to identify the remaining three youths.
