Northern Territory Police will prepare a file for the coroner in relation to the drowning death of an international tourist in Mataranka last week.
The 23-year-old UK National had been swimming at the thermal pools when he was pulled unconscious from the water by friends around 6pm on Friday 7 August 2020.
CPR was administered on the man by an off-duty paramedic and nurse until clinic staff, police and paramedics arrived on scene. CareFlight attended but sadly the man had died.
The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious.
