Northern Territory Police have charged a 35-year-old man for aggravated assault.

Shortly before 5:00pm on Tuesday 14 April, the 35-year-old man allegedly seriously assaulted a 45-year-old woman at a Coconut Grove residence then left the scene.

Approximately two hours later, he returned to the location and assaulted the woman a second time. A second 35-year-old man attempted to intervene in the assault. The offender then assaulted the male victim, rendering him unconscious.

Both victims were conveyed to Royal Darwin Hospital with serious injuries.

Police attended again and arrested the offender nearby.

The man has been charged with:

•           engage in conduct that contravenes domestic violence order x 2

•           aggravated assault x 3.

He was remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
