A 19-year-old man has died following a vehicle rollover on the Victoria Highway.

The single vehicle crash occurred approximately five kilometres east of Timber Creek at around 9:50pm last night. The surviving 36-year-old male driver and 18-year-old female rear passenger were ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Both were transferred to Timber Creek Clinic. The man was then airlifted to Darwin for further treatment.

Traffic restrictions at this section of the Victoria Highway remain in place with one lane remaining closed for the day. Detectives from the Major Crash Unit are investigating.
