The territory road toll has risen to 24 following the death of a motorcyclist who was critically injured in a crash on Saturday 7 September 2019, at East Arm.

A 50-year-old male rider passed away at Royal Darwin Hospital on Saturday 26 October, 2019 after succumbing to injuries sustained in the crash. Members of Darwin Traffic Operations are continuing to investigate.

Superintendent Neil Hayes from Road Policing Command said, “Our thoughts are with this man’s family at what is a difficult time. We want to remind the public that every death on our roads is one too many and with the wet season upon us, and Christmas not too far away, we must all continue to work together to reduce harm on our roads”.
