Darwin Investigation Unit detectives have arrested and charged the third remaining offender in relation to the assault and robbery of a 27-year-old man that occurred in November last year.
At about 5.30 am on Saturday 22 November two males alerted City Safe members on patrol in the CBD that an assault was in progress in a car park on McLachlan Street, between Mitchell and Smith Streets.
A short time later the victim approached police reporting that he had been assaulted and robbed of his wallet and mobile phone by three males. He identified the three males who were still in the car park and members arrested two, both aged 18, but the third male fled the area.
The victim suffered swelling to his face and was conveyed by St John Ambulance to Royal Darwin Hospital for treatment.
The 18-year-old male has been charged with robbery in company and aggravated assault and bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court on 3 February.
