Unlawful entries – Fannie Bay & Parap

Police

Six reports have been received that unit complexes in Hinkler and George Crescents have been either unlawfully entered or attempts made to enter them. It appears vice grips have been used in some incidents and locks broken or tampered with.

Property stolen includes handbags, cash, purse and mobile phones.

One of the victims observed a suspicious vehicle in the George Crescent area a couple of days ago which is described as a two-tone van, mainly beige in colour with Western Australia number plates with three occupants.

In Parap five residences were unlawfully entered and three attempt unlawful entries in May Street, Drysdale Street, Railway Street, Broadbent Street and Price Street. In some instances multigrips were used, door locks and handles were damaged, and a glass sliding window smashed.

Property stolen from these incidents includes wallets, jewellery and cash.

Detective Senior Sergeant Rob Jordan of the Commander's Tactical Team urged residents to remain vigilant and ensure their properties are secure and valuables out of view.

"We can't stress enough how important it is for members of the public to report any suspicious activity or persons in their neighbourhood.

"Anyone with information regarding crime no matter how trivial it may seem, is urged call police immediately."

"We are committed in bringing property crime offenders to justice."

Police are appealing for assistance from the public in relation to these incidents and urge anyone who may have been in the vicinity of these streets, and saw any suspicious persons or activity, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
