A 31-year-old man was arrested yesterday from a residence in Millner in relation to a number of domestic disturbances.

It is alleged he threatened a 25-year-old female on Tuesday 6 and Wednesday 7 January at her residence in Rapid Creek.

Around 11.00 pm on the evening of Wednesday 7 January, it is alleged the man used a metal pole to bash on a door at a residence in Nightcliff causing around $600 worth of damage.

The man was apprehended by police yesterday around 9.15 am and taken to the Darwin Watch House and later charged with:

Engage in conduct that contravenes DVO x 2

Unlawfully damage property

He was remanded in custody and will appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court 15 January.
