A 15-year-old male youth will be summonsed to appear in the Darwin Youth Justice Court for driving while unlicensed.

At about 11.30 last night members of the Commander's Tactical Team observed a blue Daihatsu Charade driving through the City Valley Estate with a number of young people inside.

The vehicle was apprehended inbound on Tiger Brennan Drive and enquiries revealed the 15-year-old male driver was unlicensed and the car was unregistered and uninsured. There were four other male occupants in the vehicle at the time of the apprehension aged 15 and three aged 16.

In a separate incident the same members observed a red Ford Laser hatchback driving through the suburbs of Parap and Ludmilla just after midnight. The vehicle was apprehended outbound on Dick Ward Drive near Minmarama Park.

Enquiries revealed the sole occupant, a 22-year-old male, was unlicensed and he also will be summonsed to appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court for driving a motor vehicle while unlicensed.
