A 21-year-old male was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital early this morning after his vehicle crashed on Rosewood Crescent, Leanyer.

Police received reports at approximately 3:20 am that a Chrysler Neon had crashed into a shipping container located on the side of the road.

Police and St John Ambulance members attended and conveyed the male to hospital to receive treatment for minor injuries.

Investigations are continuing however at this stage alcohol and speed do not appear to have been contributing factors.
