Police are continuing to actively target drink drivers, catching three men aged 22, 23 and 44 for medium to high range drink driving offences between 1:30 and 4:30 am this morning.
Palmerston members conducting a Random Breath Testing Station on Wishart Road observed a vehicle do a u-turn and speed away after seeing police.
The 22-year-old driver was apprehended following a brief pursuit that reached speeds of 170 kilometres an hour after turning off Berrimah Road.
The man was found to have a blood alcohol concentration of 0.173 percent and has been charged with driving with a high range blood alcohol content, driving while unlicensed, and driving at speed in a manner dangerous.
A 23-year-old man was stopped for a Random Breath Test on Aralia Street shortly before 2 am and returned a blood alcohol reading of 0.141 percent.
Shortly after 4 am, police observed a vehicle driving slowly and swerving over East Point Road at Fannie Bay.
The 44-year-old driver was found to have a blood alcohol reading of 0.213 percent and has been charged with driving with a high range blood alcohol content.
