Police have apprehended a 23-year-old male in relation to a domestic incident that occurred in Parap on 14 December 2008.

It is alleged that a 23-year-old male attended a residence in Somerville Gardens at approximately 5:30 am when an altercation occurred between him and a 20-year-old female.

The offender armed himself with a 10 cm kitchen knife, resulting in the victim sustaining a wound to her hand.

The male fled the scene moments later and was apprehended yesterday and charged with aggravated assault and armed with a controlled weapon and was bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court 3 March.
