Alice Springs Police, Fire and Rescue and St John Ambulance officers are currently at the scene of a structure fire in Elder Street, Alice Springs.

Police received a report about 8.25 pm of a fire at the premises of an air-conditioning and cabinet making premises at that address.

All emergency services attended the scene and surrounding business premises were evacuated as a precaution.

At this stage it is not believed to be suspicious but the cause of the blaze is an on-going investigation.

The area has been cordoned off and no-one has been injured as a result of the incident.
