Police are investigating an alleged unlawful entry that occurred on Harmanis Street, Wanguri early Wednesday morning. It is also alleged that male entered the residence where he indecently assaulted a 6-year-old female.

It is believed that the residence was unlocked at the time and was entered between 1:00 am and 7:00 am. The offender is described as a tall Caucasian male with short hair and at the time of the incident was wearing knee length brown shorts.

It is alleged that he also stole a number of items including wallets before fleeing the area.

Police are urging anyone that may have information in relation to this event, or who may have been in the vicinity at the time of the incident, to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
