Police have arrested a 24-year-old male in relation to drugs found in his possession yesterday.

Police conducted a random traffic apprehension on a vehicle observed departing the Darwin Airport yesterday (Thursday 12).

Police conducted a routine search of the vehicle and occupants and located 3.5 grams of cocaine and 140 grams of ecstasy (MDMA).

A male occupant of the vehicle was subsequently charged with:

Possess and supply schedule one drug - cocaine - trafficable
Possess and supply schedule two drug - MDMA - trafficable.

He was remanded in custody to appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court on 26 March.
