Police are investigating an incident in Alice Springs at the weekend in which seven vehicles were damaged at a Brown Street compound.

Police said it appears vandals unlawfully entered the yard at Tangentjere Council in Brown Street sometime between 5.30pm on Friday and 7am on Saturday. They then smashed a total of 37 windows on the vehicles parked in the compound. Vehicles damaged include five buses , a Toyota Corolla sedan and a Toyota Four Wheel Drive.

Estimated cost of the damage is around $7000. Police are appealing to anyone with any information about the damage to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
