Members of the Commander's Tactical Team and Darwin Police have arrested a 20-year-old male in relation to an unlawful entry that occurred early Thursday (March 5).

It is alleged that the offender smashed through a glass window to gain entry to Squires Tavern on Edmund Street before he consumed a quantity of liquor, removed his clothes and stole a sum of alcohol as he fled the area.

Police located and arrested the 20-year-old and charged him with Unlawful Entry, Damaging Property, Stealing and Driving Whilst Unlicensed.

He has been bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court on 31 March.
