Batchelor and Adelaide River members conducted a road block on the Stuart Highway at the Batchelor turn off yesterday. A 40-year-old male was apprehended and a search of his vehicle revealed one deal bag of cannabis and a smoking implement.

He will be summonsed to appear in Darwin Magistrate's Court at a later date for possess cannabis and drive unlicensed offences.

Nguiu Police executed a drug warrant on a residence in Nguiu community at about 5.00 pm yesterday.

A total of 247 grams of cannabis and $1955 of cash was seized.

A 35-year-old male was arrested and was charged with:

Possess a Schedule 2 Drug - Trafficable (cannabis)
Unlawfully Supply Cannabis to Another

The man is due to appear in Darwin Magistrate's Court at a later date.
