Stolen motor vehicle - Palmerston

Police

Members of the Youth Crime Unit located seven youths, aged between 9 and 15, in a stolen vehicle in Palmerston last night whilst conducting a proactive targeted operation.

Police apprehended a grey Holden Commodore as it was travelling outbound on Temple Terrace, knowing the vehicle had been stolen from a residence in Driver the previous day.

Three out of the seven youths were arrested and the remaining four were taken home to their parents.

Sergeant Jeff Mosel of the Youth Crime Unit said that this was a successful outcome.

"This is a great example of the good work the newly established unit does on a daily basis".

"Members of the YCU will continue conducting patrols throughout Darwin and Palmerston at all hours with the intention of disrupting the criminal activity and anti-social behaviour of Youth"
