A blue BMW Z3 convertible was totally destroyed by fire last night at a residence in Lancewood Drive, Rosebery.

At about 9.15 pm the Joint Emergency Services Communications Section (JESCC) received a report that a vehicle was on fire at that location. Police and Fire and Rescue officers attended and located the vehicle parked on the front lawn of the residence.

Fire and Rescue crews extinguished the blaze which causing approximately $60 000 damage. Fire investigators and forensic personnel also attended.

A door knock was conducted by Palmerston General Duties' members of the surrounding area but no information has come to light that could assist with the investigation.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident and saw any suspicious persons or activity to call them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
