Police apprehended two males aged 21 and 25 in relation to drugs seized in two separate incidents yesterday.
Members from the Drug Enforcement Section attended Darwin Airport at midday to conduct baggage searches, subsequently locating two packages each containing approximately 1000 ecstasy tablets, weighing a total of 656.5 grams, with a street value of approximately $100 000.
A 21-year-old was arrested and charged with possess and supply a commercial quantity of MDMA (ecstasy) and remanded in custody to appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court today.
At approximately 2:40 pm members from the Remote Community Drug Desk and the Dog Operations Unit attended a residence on Mueller Road in Malak and conducted a search, locating 177.42 grams of cannabis.
A 25-year-old male was charged with the possession of a trafficable quantity of cannabis and bailed to appear in court 16 April.
