Police have arrested a 25-year-old male in relation to the assault of a 23-year-old female that occurred 16 January 2009.

The assault occurred at a residence in The Narrows where the offender poured boiling water on the victims back resulting in third degree burns.

The offender was arrested yesterday and charged with unlawfully cause serious harm and aggravated assault. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear in Darwin Magistrate's Court on 18 May.
