Police have arrested and charged a 46-year-old male in relation to sexual assault offences that occurred last year.

It is alleged that the incidents occurred on the 16-year-old female victim over a period of time.

He was arrested yesterday and remanded to appear in court today to face charges of:

Sexual intercourse with close family member (x2)
Indecent dealing with a child under 16 years (x2)
Maintain sexual relationship with child.
