A man was arrested after he allegedly rammed a shopping trolley through a shop window overnight.
Police received a report just after 2.00am this morning that a window at Video Ezy in Nightcliff had been smashed. Police arrived and found a shopping trolley had been used to smash the store window. Police allege the offender then unlawfully entered the premises and stole a number of items including four Nintendo games consoles.
A 29-year-old man was arrested nearby and he has been charged with the following offences:
Unlawful entry of a building at night with intent to commit a crime
Stealing
Criminal damage
He has been bailed to appear in the Darwin Magistrates Court at a later date.
