Arrests - Unlawful entries and stealing

Members of the Commanders Tactical Team have arrested two males aged 15 and 16-years-old in relation to a series of unlawful entries and stealing incidents.

The youths were arrested in relation to five unlawful entries that occurred from 08 April to 08 May 2009.

An estimated $40000.00 worth of property was stolen from the Cullen Bay, Larrakeyah and Fannie Bay homes.

Cullen Bay Marine Management captured surveillance images of a suspicious white Toyota Corolla parked on Cullen Bay Crescent at the time the incidents and produced it to police.

Police located the vehicle at a residence in Parap on the 8th of May and a subsequent search of the premise revealed a quantity of the stolen property from within the residence and the suspicious vehicle

Approximately $26260.00 worth of property was recovered from the house and vehicle.

The youths were arrested at that location and have since been charged in relation to unlawful entry, unlawful possession of stolen property and stealing offences. They were both bailed to appear in the Darwin Youth Justices Court on Tuesday the 19th of May 2009.
