At about 11:25 am yesterday members from the Drug Enforcement Section arrested a 48-year-old man in relation to drug offences.

Police apprehended the man on the Stuart Highway in Howard Springs driving a white Mitsubishi Nimbus.

A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed 49 clip seal bags of cannabis weighing a total of 47.35 grams.

He was charged with posses and supply cannabis and is due to appear in Darwin Magistrates Court on 2 June 2009.
