Members of the Youth Crime Unit have arrested a 15-year-old male in relation to a number of unlawful entries that occurred last week.

It is alleged that between 1:30 pm and 5:00 pm on Saturday 9 May, the youth, in the company of co-offenders stole a white Toyota Corolla hatchback from the Jape Homemaker Village, Millner.

At 1:40 am on Sunday 10 May they then drove it to the Caltex Service Station in Jingili, filled up the car with petrol and then fled the scene without paying.

The youths then drove the car to the Pirates Rugby Union Football Club in Brinkin where it was driven into the doors to gain access into the premises.

A quantity of alcohol was then stolen before the youths fled the scene in the vehicle.

At 4:00 am the Tracy Village Sports Club was unlawfully entered at around 4:00 am and a quantity of alcohol was stolen.

It is also believed that the 15-year-old male was involved in stealing a quad bike from a location in Tiwi at approximately 10:00 am.

The Corolla was located in Leanyer several hours later, completely destroyed by fire.

Youth Crime Unit members arrested the male yesterday.

He was conveyed to the Darwin Watch House and has since been charged with:

Aggravated unlawful use of a motor vehicle (x2)
Unlawfully enter a building at night with intent (x2)
Damage property preparing to commit crime (x2)
Stealing (x3)

He was remanded in custody to appear in the Darwin Youth Justice Court 15 May.

Police are continuing with investigations in relation to three other co-offenders for the above offending.
