Police are investigating the unlawful entry of an Alice Springs backpackers overnight.

Police received reports just after 2 o'clock of an unlawful entry at Toddys Backpackers Resort on Gap Road.

It appears offenders gained entry into a store room and stole a quantity of liquor.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen an suspicious activity around the area between 1.30am and 2am to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
