Police arrested three males ages 16, 18 and 23-years old last night in relation to the unlawful use of a motor vehicle incident that occurred last night.
It is alleged the offenders stole the unlocked Mitsubishi utility from an Anula residence at about 11:55 pm last night. It appears the offenders drove the utility to Buffalo Creek before abandoning it and fleeing into near by bush land.
Police conducted a search of the area and located the males.
The 23-year-old man has been charged in relation to the following offences.
Unlawful use of a motor vehicle
(x2) Stealing
Learner driver - drive without licensed passenger
Learner driver with positive BAC reading
Not display L plates
He has been bailed to appear in Darwin Magistrate's Court 11 June.
The 18-year-old man has been charged in relation to the following offences and is due to appear in Darwin Magistrates Court today.
Unlawful use of a motor vehicle
Possess cannabis
Possess ammunition
The juvenile involved in the incident has been released pending further investigation.
