Police are investigating the unlawful entry of a business in Alice Springs overnight.

Police received a report of an unlawful entry at the Todd Tavern on Todd Street just after 3 o'clock this morning.

Security members told police offenders had gained entry into the premises and stolen a quantity of liquor.

Investigations continue and police will view camera security footage today.
