Motorcyclist injured – Palmerston

A motorcyclist sustained multiple fractures after his bike collided with a car in Palmerston last night.

Police were called to Temple Terrace just after 6.30pm following a report that a motorcycle and a car had collided. Witnesses said a Ford Falcon sedan turned left out of Lorna Lim Terrace and into Temple Terrace when the motorcyclist travelling north on the inside lane of Temple Terrace changed to the outside lane and collided with the car.

The 25-year-old motorcycle rider suffered multiple fractures and was taken to the Royal Darwin Hospital. The 44-year-old driver of the Ford Falcon was uninjured.
