Alice Springs Police are investigating an attempted unlawful entry at a business overnight.

Police received a report just before 11pm that offenders were attempting to gain entry into the Mabantua Store on Gap Road.

It appears offenders had turned off the main power supply to the building before trying unsuccessfully to gain entry.

The offenders were interrupted and fled the scene.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen any suspicious persons on Gap Road before 11o'clock last night to contact them on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
