Police are investigating an incident in which three vehicles were set alight in Palmerston overnight.

Police received a report just before 2am this morning that a number of vehicles were alight in the grounds of a construction site on the corner of Visentin Street and Deanne Crescent, Rosebery.

Police and fire crews attended and found a Holden Crewman, a Holden Adventra and a Fuso Fighter tip truck fully ablaze. All the vehicles were extensively damaged. Police are treating the fires as suspicious.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area to phone 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
