Two men will appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court on aggravated assault charges following the assault of a man in Alice Springs last week.
Police arrested the two men aged 18 and 20-years-old on Friday morning, both were charged with aggravated assault that afternoon.
Police received a report just after 1.30 am on Friday 12 June of persons fighting in the Cycad Place area and upon police arrival found a man lying unconscious on the road.
The man appeared to have head and facial injuries and was taken by St John Ambulance to the Alice Springs Hospital in a serious condition.
The man has since been discharged from hospital.
The 20-year-old was remanded in custody and appeared in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court today.
The 18-year-old was bailed to appear in court early next month.
