Police arrested a 46-year-old male this morning in relation to an indecent assault that occurred in Darwin on Wednesday.

It is alleged that a 15-year-old female was at the Darwin Bus Exchange at approximately 1:30 pm when a male inappropriately touched her, before leaving the area.

At around 5:30 am this morning members received a report of a male fitting that description in the area, and upon their attendance, arrested the 46-year-old and conveyed him to the Darwin Watch House.

He has since been charged with:

Indecent assault - child under 16 years
Assault a person under 16 years by an adult
Aggravated assault

He has been remanded in custody to appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court today.
