A man has been arrested and charged for reckless driving in Alice Springs.
Police received a report of reckless driving in the Alice Springs McDonalds car park just after 7pm on Tuesday 23 June and arrested the driver shortly after.
The 24-year-old man was found allegedly responsible for several separate counts of reckless driving in Alice Springs was taken to the Alice Springs Watch house and charged with
Doing Burn Outs
Damaging surface of road or public place
Driving a motor vehicle with a defect notice
Driving a motor vehicle which is unsafe to drive
Drive motor vehicle recklessly
The man's vehicle was seized by police and the man has been bailed and will appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court on Tuesday 14 July.
The arrest comes six days before the new Anti-Hooning legislation will be enforced by Northern Territory Police.
