Police in Central Australia arrested three drivers for driving with a blood alcohol content of more than 0.200 per cent.
Just after 7am on Friday police arrested the 21-year-old male driver of a Ford Falcon sedan in Brown Street, Alice Springs. He was found to be driving with a blood alcohol content of .288 per cent. He was charged with high range drink driving, driving disqualified and driving an unsafe motor vehicle.
Then just after 3.30pm on Friday afternoon a 32-year-old man was arrested after police caught him driving his Ford Falcon sedan into Old Timers camp south of Alice Springs. He was found to be driving with a blood alcohol content of .204 per cent.
He was charged with driving with a high range blood alcohol content and driving disqualified.
The two men will appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court later this month.
Just before 10.30pm on Friday police at Ali Curung police arrested a 25-year-old man after he was found to be driving his Ford Falcon sedan in the community with a blood alcohol content of .249 per cent. He has been charged with high range drink driving and driving disqualified. He has been bailed to appear in the Ali Curung Magistrates Court on July 28.
