Single motor vehicle crash – Berrimah - 4329734

Police

Police are investigating a single motor vehicle crash that occurred in Berrimah last night.

It is believed that at 8:10 pm a 19-year-old male was travelling along Tivendale Road when he lost control of the Holden Commodore Sedan he was driving and crashed into a power pole.

The two adult passengers aged 19 and 20 and two children aged four and one, all got out of the vehicle before it caught fire.

Police and Fire and Rescue members attended the scene and extinguished the blaze.

St John Ambulance members also attended and conveyed all four occupants to Royal Darwin Hospital to receive treatment.

Police would again like to take this opportunity to urge all road users to drive with care, to drive to the conditions, to wear your seatbelt and remain aware at all times.
