Drowning incident – Litchfield National Park – Update - 4373560

Police are continuing to investigate the drowning of a male at Litchfield National Park on the afternoon of Friday 18 September 2009.

At about 3.45 p.m the 29-year-old Taiwanese National was swimming at Wangi Falls with three other friends when he was noticed to be missing.

He was located submerged near the waterfall a short time later and was pulled to shore.

Three off duty doctors were onsite and conducted CPR on the male until further assistance arrived.

He was pronounced deceased shortly after the arrival of an ambulance.
