Assault – Darwin City

Police

Police have arrested and charged a 30-year-old female in relation to an assault of a 35-year-old male that occurred on Darwin City last night.

An altercation is believed to have occurred between the two in a Tomaris Court residence, resulting in the male receiving a puncture wound to his chest and neck.

He then made his way to the BP Service Station on Smith Street, when police were called at approximately 10:30 pm.

Police and St John Ambulance attended the scene, conveying the victim to Royal Darwin Hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.

The 30-year-old has been charged with:

Attempted murder
Recklessly endangering life
Unlawfully cause serious harm
Aggravated assaulted


She has been remanded in custody to appear in the Darwin Magistrate's Court this afternoon.
